Copy and paste of two e-mails I send to you greg:

First mail:

Hi Greg,

Sounds good to me and photos would be very nice. Can I mix p19lug with pt22 in my set without a problem?

Maybe you can answer some other questions I have about my barco data 1209s. Will it make sense to upgrade it to a graphics 1209s and what would be necessary to do so? I´ve asked that in a german av-forum already, but no one seems to have any idea, the only thing told to me is that some boards will have to be changed. Will the result be worth the work and money?

Thereto I´m planning to change my hd 300 optics to hd 120 (hd10) or better to gt17 optics (as far as I know those are a little better than hd10 or am I wrong?). Maybe you´ve got some hd10 or gt17 in stock? Alltogether I would have a pretty good set, but will it make more sense to invest in my barco or to buy a complete new set with good tubes, graphics etc.?

Second mail:

Hi Greg,

sorry, it´s me again, but I forgot to ask you about a problem I´ve got on my barco.

Sometimes the picture goes off for less than a second and comes up again (accompanied with a little noise by the tubes because they are turned off and fired up again at this moment), I hope you understand what I´m trying to say, my english is not as good as I wish it would be :-) . This problem is very sporadic. A barco specialist in germany told me that this problem is on all barco 1209s sets, but on my set sometimes it´s too often in my opinion, I think this shouldn´t be normal how my set behaves. Do you know a solution? Maybe it´s an bad capacitor or some other electrical part in the video path?

Thanks and kind regards

Markus

YES but you need to ground or couple the second grid if you use p19lug. I am selling new ones of both.

Well its not too hard you need to upgrade the Scan Reverse board, Vert board and eprom. Its not too hard I know a guy in europe who can help you out with the process AndyH@TheInstallation.com and I have the parts you need.

What tubes do you have now. HD300 is not too bad but not as perfect as hd120s or GT17. Lens upgrade is not allways as helpfull as you think the tube resolution is important. What is the number on your tubes.

You have a arc inside the tubes. Run "Run in cycle" for 24 hours and see if it improves the condition. Should burn off stray material on your guns.

I´ve PT-22 tubes installed.

How much will it cost to upgrade to graphics and will it be worth the costs?

Arc inside the tubes, can you describe this and how does the "run in cycle" work? Is it the procedure you have to do with brand new tubes? Does "arc" mean something like a short-circuit inside the tubes or even more like dirt on the tubes surface?

Hi.

Just when you transport a CRT things get lose inside the CRT. Debris can get inside the gun.

When you activate the run in cycle it does a heavy + - + - full video 185V -0 to burn off the Debris

Try it for 24 hours and post back if that repaired the issue
