I currently have a 1209 with rebuilt tubes and am looking to start on the upgrade path. I already have added the colored elements and currently using port 3 with a custom cable from down south. I use a 64 bit pci system with NVIDIA 6600gt and a Fusion HDTV 3 tuner card. I use to post on AVS forum but I have taken a retreat from yours is better than mine and am just looking improve an already great picture.

I would like eliminate the noise and line flicker in the picture for my first upgrade and get the DVI upgrade.

Thanks Greg1292 smile.gif

We have a whole new V5 of mods.

The orginal BW of the old unit 1209 was only 200 MHz in the back haul and 120 in the front.

The V5 brings the back up to 800 MHZ and the front up to 180+ depending on the tuning.

I start with the port 5 switcher card mod first, then maybe move onto the DVI card we have.

I can give you a sample to test if you want to see the difference.
