Modest cost, high yield adds in theater construction? Options

I've finished framing up my basement for my long awaited theater project. I'll finally have my 808s up on the ceiling where it belongs, and all the equipment rack mounted in the wall. The M&Ks will get in wall wiring. I looked at "theater" seating, but think I'll go with comfy couches. While the budget is a bit strained, there is room for some modest additional add ons. I'd like any thoughts on other things I might not have come up with. For example, I've thought of playing with X-10/Insteon controls. I have not yet settled on a particular screen. (In the past I just pointed the Barco at a blank white wall, which I'm told I may want to reconsider.) What else should I be thinking about, especially before the drywall goes up?

we can modify any barco projector now. Even the newest build have dated designs. We can even make the Cine9 and 909 30% sharper. See barco has not put any new development in the CRT for over 7 years now. The new opamps that are being made today are sharper and have less noise that what barco used on the 1209s 909 Cine 9 models. WE have tested and re-tested parts and found most done work but a few of them do. So we stock up on that part for the mods. Its takes a very special part to work perfectly in a barco. We when though 5000+ specs to get some replacement parts that would make an improvement.

( A good screen is the way to go. I recommend www.carada.com.. I have purchased many for local DC installs and they really peform well)

( The best place to view the picture.. Place your seating under or close to the projector.)
